  Life Style Factors to Consider

  Mary-Jay Health and Education

healthy life styles contribute to significant decrease in chronic diseases. The following factors have been studied and proven to have 47% increase or decrease chances of chronic disease such as diabetes (effects of body mass index , smoking status, alcohol intake, physical activity , and cardiorespiratory fitness) most especially on the incidence of hypertension in men

Higher cardiorespiratory fitness reduces the odds for hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, and diabetes, independent of physical activity and is an important risk factor separate from physical activity. healthy lifestyle can significantly reduce the risk of developing hypertension, and should be considered for the prevention of this chronic condition
