  Asthma Trigger Experience and complications

  Mary-Jay Health & Education

  Take Control

My now twelve years old daughter went to a friend birthday party in a cats invaded house. She knew she was allergy to it but she thought if she doesn't touch it she will be okay. She played there for couple of hours but ended up with $7000.00 medical bill on something that almost claimed her life.

It is funny now that I feel like I can be an allergy doctor without medical certification due to my wrapped around knowledge of do & don't and extensive reading on this symptom. My daughter was out of school for ten days. We have since then being so careful in exposing to any cat even though she reacts to some severely and not to some at all.

My experience have kept us out of Emergency room for four years now. I am proud in playing my part to keep emergency room use under control.

As it say by scientists "there is no cure for asthma, although symptoms sometimes improve over time. with proper self management and medical treatment, most people with asthma can live normal lives."

The complications of asthma can be severe and lead to

Death Decrease ability Persistent cough Sleepless nights Lungs dis-functional Breathing trouble Skin disorder

Call your provider for diagnosis and advice until you get a grip on how to control the symptoms.
